X Art Graduate Showcase – Oct. 15 – 22, 2021
Mikey’s first group show as a grad student will open on Oct. 15. The show will be at the University of Dallas – Haggerty Village Upper Gallery from October 15-22 and we hope to see you there!
Friends & Neighbors Exhibition – May 15 – June 12, 2021, Irving Arts Center
Mikey has one painting in this exhibit entitled “Teach or Make Sub Plans” and we would like for you to check it out. It’s at the Irving Arts Center, gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday Noon-5pm. Admission and parking are free. This exhibition has been extended to July 10th so you still have plenty of time to check out this piece and all the amazing artwork from Texas and surrounding states.
Attending University of Dallas – May 2021
We are happy to announce that starting August 2021, Mikey will be going back to school as a full time graduate student at the University of Dallas. For the first 3 semesters he will work on a Master of Art in Art and work toward acceptance in the MFA program. He’s ecstatic and appreciative for this opportunity. Mikey will be leaving his current position as an Art teacher at Irving Nimitz High School so that he can focus on the requirements of the graduate program.
IAA 2020 Fall & Winter Exhibition “Joy of the Human Spirit” – Oct. 17, 2020 – Jan. 9, 2021

BCA 2020 On My Own Time Exhibition – Virtual – 4 awards
The 2020 exhibit is being held virtually this year due to Covid and can be viewed online at: https://ntbca.org/regional-winners-gallery. We submitted a total of 4 pieces and won 1st place in 3 different categories. Mikey won 1st Place in the Ceramics, Wood & Glass category for “Amphora” and 1st Place in Works on Paper for “I’m Over It”. Jason won 1st place in Mixed Media for “Lover Over Hate #2” and Honorable Mention in Mixed Media for “Love is Patient”.
BCA 2019 On My Own Time Exhibition – Oct. 3 – 12, 2019 – 5 Awards
We submitted 4 pieces to the Business Council for the Arts 2019 On My Own Time Exhibition. Together we won 5 awards for 4 pieces. Jason won Best of Show as well as 1st place in Mixed Media for “Fusion” and Honorable Mention for “Plasma”. Mikey won 1st place in Works on Paper for “Comfy Retirement” and Honorable Mention for “Jason”. The 4 pieces will be put into an exhibition and on display at NorthPark Mall (Dallas) from Oct 3-12. There will also be a reception on October 3rd from 5pm-8pm if you are free and want to join. The exhibition will be between Macy’s and Dillard’s in front of Express and H&M.

OCTOBER 1, 2018 – Business Council for the Arts Exhibition
We would like to invite everyone to the reception for the Business Council for the Arts Exhibition held at NorthPark Mall in Dallas. The reception will be on October 4, 2018 from 5:30pm-7:30. Please come out and see our Abstract in Brown painting. If you aren’t able to make the reception, the painting will be displayed at NorthPark Mall from October 4, 2018 through October 20th. The exhibition will be stationed on the west side of the mall between Macy’s and Dillard’s and in font of the GAP, Express, H&M and Starbucks.
SEPTEMBER 5, 2018 – Award for Abstract in Brown
We just received notification that our Abstract in Brown painting won first place in the On My Own Time (OMOT) Exhibition held at Capital One Headquarters in Plano, Texas. We were also notified that the painting will be included in the Business Council for the Arts Exhibition held at NorthPark Mall in Dallas from October 4, 2018 through October 20th.
AUGUST 19, 2018 – Freight Shipping
Art Work that is 30″x40″x1.5″ or larger is consider “freight.” This changes the category in which we ship items. The shopping cart is unable to calculate freight shipping. For each item in the SHOP that will need to be mailed as freight, we have added the following note in the description:
Shipping:
1) This item is available for pick up at no shipping cost.
2) This item is considered “oversized” and requires freight shipping. The dealer will contact you within 2 business days to advise of shipping options and cost. A separate transaction for shipping cost will need to be processed.
3) You are welcome to email ArtByJMArtists@gmail.com if you would like to inquire on the price of shipping before you purchase this item.

We figured out how to offer our customers both:
- “Shipping Cost” for shipped paintings and
- “Pick-Up” which allows our local customers to pick up paintings and save on shipping cost.

We have the Home page, Gallery, and About Us page setup. We have our SSL Certificate and security enabled. We have tested our credit card and PayPal processing. All is coming along, just a few more items and we will be good to launch.
